Have I grown past the point at which it's excusable to fall asleep in church?
We dispute.
Write me into your story:
Between You & me, I am quite unworthy to keep watch with you.
& "if You should choose so, I'm sure one day I'll feel it," but for now may I express blue-collar exhaustion?
I know full well that none of this is normal, but is any of it even real?
"I want to stand and be counted."
For fear that You might grant it, I hesitate to ask,
May I [hope]fully live ?

There is something innocently joyful in watching a sister or brother fall asleep. Jaws sagged down, heads bobbing. I'm sure that's what's you bring; you remind all the old church folks what it's like to be a yearling.
